Séverine Gagnieu
Séverine Gagnieu
Séverine Gagnieu is a very eclectic artist. Her recent work consists of photography and screen prints which have her photographs as underlying material. She can’t really be “caught” in a specific art style, which makes her work very unique.
Her works are created after an extensive study of cultures and journeys she makes. She travels extensively and often for months to remote areas and cultures to become one with the culture. Séverine takes photographs on the spot and that becomes, back in Maastricht, the basis for her artworks.
Séverine has a degree from the Maastricht Art Academy. Her first exhibition was on display in 1993 at the Tracé gallery in Maastricht and her work can be seen in various collections.
She doesn’t have a website, but you can contact the gallery for more information and images of her work.
