Santiago Vélez, Colombia, 1972 is a socially engaged artist. He works and lives in Medellín, Colombia.

Horizons, refugies, water as a border are the main themes that appear in his work.

Vélez has shown his work in the exhibition Horizon together with the Irish artist Jenny Owens at PontArte in Maastricht in September-October 2018.

The exhibition has also been shown in Barcelona at Tasneem Gallery and at Lokkus Arte Contemporanea in Medellín.
