WINTERSALON 2023 – 2024 is a festive exhibition of works by more than 20 artists to celebrate the reopening of the gallery space. After the water damage on September 12th, the space can be reopened! We celebrate this with walls full of beautiful work by our artists. In addition to the reopening, we are also celebrating 10 years of PontArte.
With this exhibition we want to amaze, enchant and show that art is accessible to everyone.
WINTERSALON is a feast for the eyes. In the gallery space, which is completely “water-resistant” now, an overview of artists who work with PontArte is shown.
From oil paintings to stainless steel sculptures, from works on paper to photography: there will be a nice mix of techniques and media on display. The most important criterion for us is that the work is beautiful, interesting, confrontational or fascinating.
With this overview we want to show that art opens up to dreaming, standing still and wondering, that art is more than just a pretty picture. It is a story of the artist and an interaction with the viewer.
For 10 years we have been showing work by a selection of artists, which has expanded from 8 to more than 20 artists over the course of the 10 years. We follow these artists in their development, are in constant contact with them, often have the first choice and show their work in the gallery and at fairs.
Started as a Pop Up gallery in December 2013 in Alella, Barcelona, we landed in 2018 at Kapoenstraat 29 in Maastricht, a beautiful space for the upcoming exhibitions and activities.
