Greet Weitenberg: Viewscape

viewscape B 57,3x57,2 cmFrom December 2nd: Viewscape by Greet Weitenberg

You are invited for the opening of the exhibition: Viewscape in presence of the artist Greet Weitenberg on saturday the 2nd of December.

Location: Oranjeplein 203 in Maastricht

The exhibition can be visited until the 14th of January 2018

For the first time, work by the Amsterdam based artist Greet Weitenberg will be shown in Maastricht. Her world of collages will take you on a journey.

As a “Christmas gift” for the groene loper infrastructure project which is taking place in the direct surroundings of the gallery already for quite a while, the artist will create a Viewscape at the windows of PontArte at the Oranjeplein. What will it look like, well come and see for yourself! It promises to be a beautiful image for the neighbors of PontArte, who have been in a construction site already for so long.

Gabriele Fettolini: Abstract

[vc_column_text pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”1/1″ el_position=”first last”]

momento-fugaz(2),130x89

¨Abstract¨, is the first solo show from Gabriele Fettolini (Switzerland, 1955) in the Netherlands, and is to be seen from the 23rd of October until the 28th of November by appointment.

On Saturday the 4th of November at 16.00 hrs. until 19.00 hrs. we open our doors for everyone who is curious but doesn´t like making an appointment. Join us at the Oranjeplein 203 in Maastricht to see all works available in Maastricht.

The work from Gabriele Fettolini can be described as playing with light. Fully abstract he performs a subtle play with light and shade, clear and bright contrasting with gray and dark colours he catches the light in different compositions on the wall. He often works with several canvasses that are combined until the perfect combination is found.

Since the eighties he works between Switzerland and Spain, the last years mainly in his large studio in the city centre of Barcelona.

The work from Gabriele Fettolini isn´t easy to put in an art movement. It is abstract, but not minimalism. There is a lot of expressionism and energy in the work that can be only experienced when you are experiencing the work in real. His way of working is too subtle for the internet or print. Gabriele Fettolini work is exhibited in Switzerland and Spain on a regular basis and is part of private and company collections.
